Krokodile

Crocodiles – 250 million years in the making to become the perfect “killing machines”. Besides their brutal image, the film also shows their soft spots. When it comes to breeding, the hunters are hunted themselves by monitor lizards and baboons. The film reveals surprisingly allies, a bird known as water thick-knee will defend both its own and the mother crocs nesting sites. We witness the birth of young crocodiles, see how caring their mothers are and how the little crocs overcome the dangerous first days to become the feared reptiles we all know. HD high-speed cameras with 2000 frames per second reveal unknown sides of their hunting strategies. Director of this GULO film production was Reinhard Radke, who also was in charge for the main camera. GULO did all super slow motions and the remote controlled camera images.
